Fearless! Hudson Valley offers interactive prevention education workshops designed to increase awareness, encourage meaningful conversations, and provide participants with information and tools they can use in their everyday lives.

Workshops are available for youth, adults, parents and caregivers, community groups, service providers, schools, and other organizations throughout Orange and Sullivan Counties.

Teen Dating Violence 101 / Healthy Relationships
Youth
This interactive workshop introduces teen dating violence, including warning signs and ways to support someone who may be experiencing abuse in a relationship. Participants also explore characteristics of healthy relationships, including boundaries, consent, communication, and healthy conflict resolution.

Domestic Violence 101

This interactive workshop provides an overview of domestic violence, warning signs, and ways to support someone experiencing abuse. Participants also explore healthy relationships, boundaries, consent, communication, and healthy conflict resolution.

Domestic Violence & Healthy Relationships

In Her Shoes
Adults | Community Groups | Service Providers
A hands-on, interactive activity that allows participants to experience the complex choices and barriers a survivor of domestic violence may encounter. Participants move through the daily life of a survivor while navigating systems that may provide support or create additional barriers.

Consent: What Everyone Needs to Know
Youth | Adults
Going beyond "no means no," this workshop explores what consent is and isn't, what consent looks like, and individual rights and responsibilities. Participants also discuss the importance of consent and respecting boundaries in relationships and friendships.

One Love: Escalation Workshop
Youth
A film-based workshop that helps participants identify warning signs of an abusive relationship. Following the film, a guided discussion explores healthy and unhealthy relationship behaviors and how to respond when witnessing signs of an unhealthy relationship. This workshop is typically paired with Teen Dating Violence 101 and is approximately 90 minutes.

One Love: The Last Drop Workshop
Youth
A film-based workshop focused on recognizing the early signs of relationship abuse. A guided discussion following the film helps participants identify healthy and unhealthy relationship behaviors and explore how to respond when they see concerning behaviors. This workshop is approximately 90 minutes.

Human Trafficking

Human Trafficking 101
Youth
Participants learn about human trafficking risk factors while challenging common myths and misconceptions about sex trafficking. The workshop also explores the connection between human trafficking and teen dating violence.

In Their Shoes
Youth
An interactive, experiential activity designed to help young people better understand human trafficking. Participants take on one of six characters based on the experiences of real teens and make choices as they navigate relationships and interactions with dating partners, family, friends, and others. Guided discussion helps participants process the experience, ask questions, and consider ways they can create change individually and within their communities.

Human Trafficking for Service Providers
Adults | Service Providers
Designed to increase service providers' understanding of human trafficking, this workshop explores what human trafficking encompasses, risk factors, common myths and misconceptions about sex trafficking, and its connection to domestic violence.

Digital Safety & Media

Digital Safety
Youth | Parents & Caregivers
Take a deeper dive into the digital world and learn how increased awareness can help prevent unsafe situations online. Topics may include cyberbullying, inappropriate content, sexting, oversharing, online enticement, and sextortion. This program can also be adapted for parents and caregivers to increase their understanding of these topics and help support safer internet use.

Relationships in the Digital Age
Youth
Technology is a major part of how we communicate, but where is the line between healthy and unhealthy behavior? Participants explore how unhealthy behaviors and relationship dynamics can appear in digital spaces.

Media Analysis & Literacy
Youth
From a young age, we receive messages from media and the world around us about who we should be. Participants analyze different forms of media, explore messages about gender, and discuss how those messages can affect individuals and relationships.

Supporting Children & Young People

Supporting Safety for Children
Adults | Parents & Caregivers
Designed to give adults knowledge and tools to help create safer environments for children. Topics include bodily autonomy, boundaries, teaching consent, and other important conversations that support children's safety.

Bullying & Bystander Empowerment
Youth
This workshop creates space for students to discuss bullying, its impact, and ways to address it. Participants examine what gives bullying behavior power, what can take that power away, and strategies for those experiencing or witnessing bullying.

Harassment vs. Flirting
Youth
Participants explore the difference between flirting and harassing behaviors, analyze real-world situations, and engage in conversations about what respectful behavior looks like.

Culture, Identity & Social Awareness

Breaking Down Gender
Youth
Participants discuss traditional gender roles and expectations and explore their connections to dating, safety, and bullying. The workshop also considers how individuals can contribute to creating a culture of equality.

Victim Blaming and Rape Culture
Youth | Adults
This workshop examines how victim-blaming attitudes can marginalize survivors and make it more difficult to disclose or report abuse. Participants also explore how sexual violence can be normalized or excused within media and popular culture and how these attitudes can create space for dating violence and trafficking.

Challenging an Oppressive Culture
Youth | Adults
Participants examine how racism and oppression continue to appear in modern society, including the impact of microaggressions and the ways oppression can influence relationships. The workshop also explores ways individuals can safely challenge stereotypes.

Oppression, Power and Privilege
Youth | Adults
Explore the ways oppression, power, and privilege can manifest in our lives and communities. Participants are given opportunities to examine their own experiences and values, engage in dialogue, and build skills for creating more respectful and equitable environments.

Fearless! educators can tailor prevention education to complement existing classroom curriculum. Examples include exploring portrayals of intimate partner violence within literature, examining the history of domestic violence or gender roles, or discussing domestic violence through the lens of law and government.
