  uses a holistic approach focusing on respect\, empathy\, individual stren
 gths\, and the relationship between personal and societal pressures that c
 reate or increase vulnerabilities.\n\nEffective prevention often starts by
  raising awareness of harmful stereotypes and attitudes that create vulner
 abilities and keep youth from seeking help. Through open conversations\, e
 ngaging activities\, the use of media\, and opportunities for self-disclos
 ure\, participants will:\n\n• Raise their awareness of what constitutes hu
 man tracking and exploitation.\n• Learn how to recognize recruitment tacti
 cs and understand vulnerabilities.\n• Challenge harmful stereotypes and so
 cietal attitudes.\n• Identify healthy support systems.\n• Develop skills t
 o safely navigate potential and existing exploitative situations.\n• Learn
  how to access community resources when situations occur that increase the
 ir vulnerability (or if exploitation is already underway).
