This includes emotional\, ver bal\, digital\, financial\, sexual\, and physical abuse. Be an agent of ch ange and write a thoughtful and unique essay that raises awareness about t he issue of domestic violence.\n\nThis year’s theme is A World Without Abuse. For this essay\, we want students to think about what it would mean to them to live in a world free from domestic violence. How would it impact romantic relationships\, friendships\, and the way people engage wi th the world around them? Students have creative freedom to explore this t opic in a way that is meaningful to them.\n\nSafe Homes of Orange County w ill accept submissions for the 2018 “I Can Make Change” Essay Contest from October 1\, 2018 until November 16\, 2018. Contest winners will receive the following prizes:\n\n* 1st Place: $75 prize\n* 2nd Pla ce: $40 gift card\n* 3rd Place: $20 gift card\n\nThe winning essay wil l be featured in the quarterly Safe Homes newsletter.
