 heriff\, Darcie M. Miller\, Commissioner for the Department of Social Serv
 ices\, and New York State Assembly persons Aileen M. Gunther\, and James S
 koufis.  \n\nConcurrently\, The Clothesline Project\, a visual display of 
 T-shirts bearing the stories of victims and survivors of domestic violence
 \, will be on view from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the Newburgh Resource and B
 usiness Center\, 280 Broadway in Newburgh\, Safe Homes’ headquarters. Foll
 owing the official ceremony at noon\, Safe Homes will host an Open House f
 rom 10:30 to 12:00 PM and 1:00 to 2:30 PM  to invite the community to visi
 t our newly expanded Family Justice Center and meet with the agency’s advo
 cates and leadership.  \nNationwide\, 1-in-4 women will experience domesti
 c violence in their lifetime. In Orange County\, 22 women have been killed
  by intimate-partners\, since 2004\; one woman is still missing. “Over the
  course of 2016\, Safe Homes’ advocates answered 3\,334 hotline calls and 
 provided 17\,414 victim-advocacy services\, and provided 4\,879 nights of 
 safety.  This is but a numerical glimpse into the tragic reality and impac
 t of domestic violence right here\, at home in Orange County.  This Octobe
 r\, while honoring survivors and remembering those taken from us\, we want
  to continue to focus on the responsibility of bystanders.  To that end\, 
 we will appeal to various professionals\, communities\, businesses\, and i
 ndividuals to play a role in addressing domestic violence.  We invite ever
 yone to take the challenge and find their place within this movement of ch
 ange\,” said Kellyann Kostyal-Larrier\, Safe Homes’ Executive Director.\n

 Skoufis\; Cornerstone Health center\; Shannon Wong\, Chapter Director\, Ne
 w York Civil Liberties Union Barron\, Mauri Architects.  The Celebration o
 f Hope is sponsored by Orange & Rockland Utilities\, Inc.\, Crystal Run He
 althcare\, Mediacom\, Orange Regional Medical Center\, KeyBank\, Police Ch
 iefs’ Association of Orange County Police Academy\, Sharon Lee Henderson\,
  M&T Bank and St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital.  \n\nThe event will be held at
